A FEATURE DOCUMENTARY
It's a rock 'n' roll love story, but also a tale of courage and survival. When two young gay men, David and Lenny, move from New York City to a small town in Indiana to open a James Dean museum, they face intense opposition and endure many ordeals along the way. All the while, they share personal accounts with rock 'n' roll legends like The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Meatloaf, and even Andy Warhol.
Through interviews, archival footage, and cinematic recreations that transport us back to the 60s, 70s, and 80s, David and Lenny paint a vivid picture of their love story—a story that transcends boundaries and challenges societal norms. The documentary celebrates the triumph of love, the courage to be true to oneself, and the transformative power of pursuing something you love, even in the face of resistance.
